The loudest signal in geopolitics isn’t what politicians say at microphones. It’s what governments quietly start preparing for when nobody thinks you’re paying attention.
The whole world knows that every time Trump speaks about progress on negotiations it is just another lie. This lie serves two purposes. Firstly, he's boxed in with no way out while saving face, he knows it, but can't admit it out loud. The other purpose is to manipulate the stock market, his lies and his actions have such a huge impact on the markets it should be considered manipulation, and he is using it to his full advantage.

Why is Trump constructing a huge bunker under the ballroom that includes a hospital?
It feels like the American people still believe in him. My niece lives in the U.S. and is all in on Trump. What is wrong with those people? He has them brain washed by telling them "they are the best", and they think they are.
Big monuments such as the Trump Arch!! Absolute insanity.
The Iranians want him assassinated, and God only knows who else does.
Both the US and Iran are taking steps towards preparation for a resumed kinetic war.
My *hope* is that these are more contingency planning than operational preparation
I *believe* that both sides know the risks and consequences both to themselves and to the world writ-large, and neither wants to take the blame that would accrue
The wildcard here is Israel, and how they respond to any deal-making that doesn’t meat their own maximalist demands
My hope may be misplaced - both sides have a demonstrated history of being willing to escalate in unexpected directions
Exhaustion is the half of what we are feeling. Impeach Trump or 25th ammendment him or do whatever is necessary to teplacr him and begin a major course correction which includes yhe voluntary removal of American strike forces from the mid east without having a deal. Let the world reset and move forward without the guiding hand of the misguided USA

There’s definitely a lot of fear, frustration, and confusion wrapped up in all of this Carol-Ann.
I try to separate what’s verified from the rumour mill and focus on observable behaviour...
because emotions are running hot everywhere right now.
The hard part is remembering that millions of ordinary people, whatever side they’re on...
are mostly responding to the information bubbles they live in.
