I read they were thinking about pulling out but not that they had. But man the world news is flying so fast these days one can't keep up.

Totally fair, Bernie... you’re not imagining things. The pace is brutal right now.

A lot of headlines blur “considering,” “reviewing,” and “actually pulling out” together, so it’s easy to miss where things really stand. In this case, the noise has been about questioning commitments and costs, not a clean, final walk-away (yet).

You’re right though: world news is moving at firehose speed, and half of it gets updated or contradicted within days. That’s exactly why it’s worth slowing down and separating confirmed decisions from trial balloons and leverage plays.

No shame in not keeping up with every twist... most professionals can’t either. The signal still matters more than the churn.

Nice work Fred Hadn't really heard anything so detailed concerning Volkswagen.

That’s actually a great instinct, Ron... and worth saying out loud.

Retirement gives you the one thing most people never get enough of... time to follow threads properly instead of swallowing headlines whole. Going down a few rabbit holes isn’t a flaw anymore... it’s due diligence.

And honestly, after the Trump years, a lot of us got “awake” the hard way. Once you’ve seen how power, money, and narrative actually move together, it’s hard to not start asking better questions.

Appreciate the kind words on the Volkswagen piece too. That story flew under the radar for a lot of folks, but it’s one of those quiet signals that tells you where the real damage is happening.

Curiosity beats complacency every time. 👍
