Just another reason, one of many, of why Canada should forgo on the F-35 and select Gripen.

Agreed, and I hope they stick to it.

Ron do you think Canada should walk away from the F35 completely or keep a mixed fleet with the Gripen to avoid depending too heavily on one country

Trump just showed his hand. He is definitely a Soviet stooge. He has invited musk back to the White House to screw over Ukraine. AND he is personally most probably going to benefit from his latest move.

I agree with you What concerns me most is how these decisions could affect Ukraine and the balance of power going forward What do you think Trump is ultimately trying to accomplish with this move

Make as much money as he can

Musk's throttling of Starlink amounts to a war crime and proves how correct Ontario's Doug Ford was to cancel its Starlink contract. The cancellation process began in February 2025, the partnership was abandoned in March, and the formal cancellation was publicly confirmed on July 30, 2025. There's a man in our building who has a Tesla but would never buy another because of Elon Musk. He's an out-and-out fascist and Trump bootlicker. And yes, you can certainly expect Trump to benefit financially from the diesel deal with his corrupt colleague Putin.

Even Musk is shuffling on Starlink and blaming the US Government. Soviet America blinks.
