Let’s see how far this label actually stretches.
I keep hearing the word “woke” like it’s a political diagnosis.
So let’s test it...
If you don’t like being lied to…
you’re woke.
If you think people should get a fair shake…
you’re woke.
If you expect your government to not screw things up on purpose…
you’re woke.
If you think hard work should actually lead somewhere…
you’re woke.
If you don’t love corruption, backroom deals, or watching insiders get rich…
you’re woke.
If you think kids should be safe, educated, and not used as political props…
you’re woke.
If you believe freedom applies to people you don’t agree with…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever said, “yeah… that doesn’t seem right”…
you’re woke.
If you think facts matter more than opinions…
you’re woke.
If you don’t like being manipulated by headlines…
you’re woke.
If you believe politicians should answer questions instead of dodging them…
you’re woke.
If you think wasting taxpayer money is a problem…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever said “show me the proof”…
you’re woke.
If you think rules should apply to everyone…
you’re woke.
If you don’t love being told what to think…
you’re woke.
If you believe people should earn trust… not demand it…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever changed your position after seeing better information…
you’re woke.
If you think yelling louder doesn’t make you right…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at obvious nonsense…
you’re woke.
If you think common sense should still be… common…
you’re woke.
If you don’t blindly agree with everything your side says…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever disagreed with someone you normally agree with…
you’re woke.
If you think labeling strangers is lazy…
you’re woke.
If you believe people are more complicated than a headline…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever said “that feels off” and looked deeper…
you’re woke.
If you think outrage isn’t a personality…
you’re woke.
If you believe not everything is a culture war…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever taken five minutes to think before reacting…
you’re woke.
If you’ve ever used your brain before repeating something…
you’re woke.
If you don’t get all your opinions from a 10-second clip…
you’re woke.
If you think real life is more complicated than memes…
you’re woke.
If you believe people can disagree without being enemies…
you’re woke.
If you don’t need a label to understand someone…
you’re woke.
So either…
Most of the country is “woke.”
Or…
The word doesn’t mean what people think it means.
Because here’s the part that’s getting ridiculous…
People are using “woke” to describe strangers.
People they’ve never met.
Never talked to.
Know nothing about.
You saw a headline…
heard a clip…
read a comment…
…and now you’ve got their entire belief system figured out?
That’s not insight.That’s labeling.
At this point, “woke” has turned into the political version of…
“I don’t like this, and I don’t feel like explaining why.”
It’s not a definition.
It’s a shortcut.
And shortcuts are great…
…until they start replacing thinking.
The Gut-Punch…
If you can label a stranger’s entire worldview in one word…
you’re not paying attention.
You’re guessing.
“Calling strangers ‘woke’ based on a headline or a clip isn’t insight…
…it’s just guessing with confidence.”
Just saying…
“If everything you don’t like is ‘woke’…
you’re not describing reality.
You’re describing your reaction.”

I could never understand when or why these basic principles or ideals earned branding, and to use 'woke' isn't undesirable. Most people would find wokeness anchored in morality. If that's the case, I'm a wokety-woke bloke.
The term "woke" has pissed me off from the first time I heard it. Ron DeSantis uses it extensively and it basically refers to anybody who disagrees with the Republican autocratic philosophy.
