Why I Write Like This Now
Letters to the Son I Never Had
Dear Son,
I had a man named Mike tell me something today that stopped me in my tracks.
He said… Wow! Brother, you touch souls with your words.
And it reminded me why I started writing this way in the first place.
We live in a world soaked in fear, wearied by noise, and poisoned by smooth-talking liars who forgot how to tell the truth. Somewhere along the line, honesty became rare, and love became something we whisper, not something we live out loud.
That’s why I changed.
I no longer write to impress. I don’t have the energy to fake it, and thank God I lost the desire. I’ve shifted into legacy thinking, meaning I write for the people who might find these words after I’m gone.
I write as if I’m talking to the son I never had.
With nothing to prove. With nothing to sell.
Just love, truth, and a few scars turned into stories.
I trained my AI to help me speak faster than my shaky hands will allow these days. But every word is mine. And every word is meant for someone who’s still trying to figure it out.
Maybe that's you.
Love,
Fred
