Why I Don’t Push Side Hustles Anymore (and What I Do Instead)
Why I Chose Legacy - Money Talk with Fred Ferguson (GeezerWise)
This post might surprise a few people.
Especially if you’ve followed me for a while, waiting for my next affiliate tool, system breakdown, or online income tip.
I still believe in making honest money online. But what I’m chasing now isn’t income—it’s impact.
Hey friend,
If you’ve been on my list for a while, you’ve probably noticed something:
I’m not talking about side hustles or affiliate tools much these days.
And I want to tell you why.
The truth is… I’ve changed.
Not overnight—but gradually, honestly, and completely.
At 73, I’m more interested in writing something worth reading after I’m gone
than trying to squeeze another commission out of someone I’ve never met.
I still believe in ethical income from home.
I still believe in working smarter, not harder.
But more than that, I believe in telling the truth.
And here’s my truth:
I’ve lived through hell, learned a few things the hard way, and made it out the other side.
Now I’m writing about that.
About sobriety. Aging. Dogs that saved my life. Forgiveness.
And how you rebuild after everything falls apart.
I’m not walking away from income.
But I’m walking toward something that feels more lasting.
I’m building something called a Legacy Library.
And if you’re still here, it probably means you’re meant to be part of it.
So if you’re wondering why my emails feel different these days… now you know.
Thanks for sticking around.
I’ll keep showing up—one honest letter at a time.
—Fred Ferguson (GeezerWise)
P.S. I’ll still share tools or side hustle ideas now and then—but only if they’re truly helpful, ethical, and tested. No hype. No pressure. Just what’s working for me.
