MP’s do leave all the time but the timing is awful, Carney and his team have their hands full right now. But do think an election would be a reasonable consideration while his favourability is high and before pp and the divisive propaganda have a chance to keep misinforming the public. Carney may not want one, but there’s a fair argument for going to Canadians while the choice is still clear and before the misinformation machine really gets warmed up.

Substack isn’t perfect, but at least people are more likely to read before firing the cannon.
The biggest problem I see is the people who believe pp at his word and all the ai bs that is floating around and will float around if an election is called. They do no critical thinking and believe everything they see is truth not propoganda. They do not see what carney is trying to do and what. Building for the future, Whether you agree or not. These are the people who expect immediate next day results, in new jobs and economy from just signed trade agreements. If they don’t see that they get their panties in a twist. They need to asked direct questions about how the conservative will exactly tackle the same problems. Challenge them to describe how the conservatives will manage these issues. And we know that pp doesn’t have the slightest clue except to go begging to USA rather than charting a new independent course.

What worries me more isn't who wins or loses...
it's making sure Canadians can still agree on basic facts when AI, social media, and political spin are all competing for our attention.
As for living under the current U.S. administration...

Canada has enough real problems to deal with without politicians manufacturing extra chaos for sport.
