š Letter to My Son (If I Had One)
āThe Mud Will Settleā
Hey Son,
When life gets messyāand it willādonāt thrash.
Youāll want to fix it. Run from it. Control it.
Youāll want to stir the water just to feel like youāre doing something.
But all that does is make it murkier.
Instead, just sit.
Breathe.
Wait.
Like muddy water in a jarāif you let it sit still long enough, it clears.
The same thing happens in you.
When you stop reacting, the chaos settles.
When you stop clinging, the pain floats down.
When you stop fighting, clarity rises to the top.
Stillness isnāt weakness, son. Itās strength in disguise.
So donāt be afraid to pause.
The answer doesnāt always come from motion.
Sometimes, it waits for silence.
Let the mud settle.
Then you'll see what's real.
Love,
āDad
