Fantastic article, Mr. Ferguson! I can’t believe you acquired that much information on JTF2. Another example how Canada punches above its weight!

Great article. I knew they were really good.

I’ve worked with these guys. It’s all true. Plus, they’re super-smart and thoughtful about what they do and how they do it.

My cousin's wife was an RCAF major (at the time, since ret'd as a Lt. Colonel). She was an accountant, but asked to deploy with JTF2, because someone had to handle money in-field, including making reparation payment in villages beyond the FOBs, for damages done to the locals during kinetic situations.

Think 70 lb pack, on a 30 km run, in Ottawa's 32 degree heat and high humidity. And that was not the toughest test. Because everyone who deploys has to meet the standard.

She did, and spent a tour with briefcases full of cash and 4 guys a foot taller than her, on helicopters in and out of some veeeery sketchy places.

Fantastic read, thanks for sharing. Humble Canadians just doing their job🇨🇦. Go in, get it done, do what is necessary to protect innocents too. That's the true to the statement, "To serve and protect." 😊

Interesting to discover and learn about. Thank you for your contribution!

I must say, I'm happy that you are using full sentences. The fashion of cutting sentences every two words makes texts very tiring to read and seems very pedantic to me. I avoid reading people who write like that, so tiring and annoying I find it. Commas, colons and semicolons are good instruments to structure a discourse.

Good for them. Do you think the liberals could screw all this up like they are with F35 purchase. I hope these Canadian heroes don’t get shafted by the liberals but they do like to throw citizens under the proverbial tank to keep their American masters happy.

Yes, sure. Let's have F-35s with Trump as a frenemy fast turning into an enemy. The guy who loves nothing more than to corner people, play as dirty as possible and screw people. He would stop the updates these things need all the time just out of spite. Not to talk about the ability he has to remotely deactivate them from a distance. He did it to Zelenskyy with his F-16s, I think it was last March.

He's even sabotaging the Gordie Howe bridge he himself approved, that Canada paid for entirely and is donating half to the US.

Just look up how F-35s would fare in the Arctic. They need climate-controlled heated hangars to operate in the Arctic to protect their advanced electronics and their stealth coatings. And perfect airstrips. Not to mention they're guzzlers who need frequent refueling, meaning they can fly 700-900 nautical miles then need refueling, which means in-air refueling all the time for the vastitude of Canada especially in the North. Plus they can't operate all day non-stop and need a lot of maintenance.
