📣 I’m the happiest tonight than I’ve been in years…
A bittersweet evening, a finished creation, and Taylor Swift on repeat. This one’s a letter from the heart... about regrets, grace, and being grateful to still be here.
This one’s personal, kids.
No marketing. No teaching. Just truth.
It’s been a bittersweet kind of night — the kind where you swing from high to low and land somewhere in the middle with your heart cracked open and a goofy grin on your face.
Here’s what happened…
I just finished my second digital product. A huge high.
While I worked, I had Taylor Swift in my ears for hours.
Yep. I’m a 73-year-old Swiftie. No shame in my game.
I’ve got a playlist on my phone that runs over two hours without repeating a song. Been through every album more times than I can count.
Blame it on my granddaughter Samantha — who I love like “Big Money.” She got me hooked.
Now, I’m that guy in the doctor’s office with his eyes closed, earbuds in, probably listening to “You Need to Calm Down” while waiting for his blood pressure reading.
And tonight… Taylor took me everywhere.
I was deep in “Afterglow,” floating through “All Too Well (10-minute version),” then hit hard with “Better Man.”
That one? Always wrecks me.
The first time I heard it, I cried.
Big man, alone, late sixties — bawling like a kid.
Because that song… it reminded me of all the times I wasn’t the better man.
Of people I loved and lost. Of words I can’t unsay but have made peace with.
And then, just like that… the next song lifts me back up.
It’s wild. This strange, beautiful swing from bliss to ache to joy — all inside a few songs and a PDF export button.
I used to think I wouldn’t live this long.
Now I’m here, living the best year of my damn life.
I don’t know why I’m telling you this.
Maybe because I’m not afraid to be human in public anymore.
And maybe I hope that something in this stirs a bit of your story loose too — the bits you don’t talk about.
Take a breath. Feel your feelings.
You’re still here. That’s something.
Peace and love, like Ringo says.
Peace out and keep your 🏒 on the ice! 😎✌️
That’s all I got tonight. Thanks for holding space.
Be kind to yourself. You’re doing better than you think.
Peace out and keep your 🏒 on the ice. 😌✌️
