Morning Fred. Yes GM was the bread and butter for years. Many family members worked at the either the car or truck plants. This is really good news. I'll be spreading the news today.

Let’s separate out the parts into what’s real - your comment that it wasn’t Carney who produced a cheque of $144M to GM, but it was his policies and forward thinking that helped that to happen. Ford is also scaling production back up at their Oakville assembly plant. They will make 100000 Super Duty trucks there per year. At the end of July they also announced additional investments:
“The planned investment includes $700 million to expand engine production at the Essex Engine Plant, including a forecast third shift and continued growth of 7.3-litre engine production, as well as a previously announced $550-million investment in the Oakville Assembly Complex in Oakville.”
“But there’s a difference between opposing the government and becoming so invested in the government’s failure that good news for Canada becomes bad news for your political campaign.” That man as far as I can tell has been well past this point for many many years. It isn’t a recent occurrence. Opposition is supposed to oppose, not oppose good choices.
I think the party has forgotten what real opposition looks like. Perhaps someone should come along and show them how it is done. Grievance politics isn’t what people want. Every poll says so. Every time the poll numbers drop for PP or his party it is people saying this isn’t what they want. Listen to them.
This article Fred, gives more exposure to PP than he deserves. He's tanking in the poles, Conservative MPs are crossing the floor in large numbers. Three bi-elections just elected 3 more Liberals. His own popularity has tanked into the mid 20% and continues to drop. Has he learned anything? Can he learn anything? 'Nothing' is PP's middle name. Canada has turned a corner heading into a much more positive and prosperous future. This is due to Carney's knowledge and leadership. PP is still a toddler, playing sand-box games. That he even gets mentioned anymore is all that's giving him oxygen.
When PP shows up on my TV with his moaning and groaning, I can't change the channel quick enough.
