Yes, France (and much of Europe) is finally getting to the same understanding of reality where Canada has been for a while. As US media is in the MAGA bubble of delusion, I’m not surprised that it’s taken a while for Americans to notice.

Do not count on Eurobonds too much, the German government (aka Mr Merz) is strictly against this, and always has been. Germany already has something called "Bundesschatzbriefe" (yep, we've got long words) that are Federal Bonds like the US Bonds, and having been the strongest economy in Europe for a long time, Germany is not too much into common European debt.

The final stage of the downfall of an empire, when the dollar is no longer the currency and allies look elsewhere, civil unrest at home, well played France, like other countries, Canada , China, all withdrawing loans, selling bonds, strategically played, no wars, meetings, insults, just quietly doing what is best for their country

I also think that because of the likelihood this will happen; there will be a major economic recession. Soon. Trump is trashing the US economy as he builds his personal fortune from his grifting. The dominoes will fall worldwide.

America had little role in Europe before its 20th century restructuring. It was a scaffold for rebuilding Europe after WWII. It’s finished.

Even Superman flew off at the end of the show.

Maybe a future topic: how should Canada respond if Cubans start to starve? Gaza in the Caribbean sounds hellish. Ukraine in the Caribbean sounds equally evil.
