I've been spending 6 months a year in Mexico for 7 years now. I've mentioned before that there's a Canadian patch on my man purse and local people smile when they see it. What I didn't mention is I will only fly direct on non-US airlines now. That might mean AeroMexico to CDMX and then a short hop to Merida, Yucatan. It might mean a Canadian airline direct to Cancun and then a bus to Merida. Sometimes there's even a direct flight to Merida! What it doesn't mean is a stopover in Houston, TX or Miami, FL and then a hop to Merida, even if a Canadian airline gets me to those cities. It may cost more, but I suspect that will change. There's not as much availability but a little planning works fine. It's worth it in many ways.

Not a boycott Jim… just a quiet reroute

and those are the ones that really stick.”

A joycott- if you will. Paying a little extra to be able to pursue joy and keep our dignity.

Let’s face it, Canadians are ghosting the USA, and we’re doing it very well!

StatsCan confirms it. Canadian return trips from the U.S. dropped 22 percent in January. That marks 13 straight months of decline. It matches how tariffs last year fueled buy Canadian sentiment. Domestic tourism spending hit 13.8 billion dollars in one quarter alone, up 4.4 percent. These quiet shifts add up faster than any protest sign.

Canada, we're so sorry 😞 We're good people!

The dumbest and in denial amongst us voted for him!

Please forgive the majority of Americans!

Janet… most Canadians already know that.

This was never about everyday Americans... it’s about direction, tone, and trust.

People don’t wait around for things to “maybe get better”… they adjust.

No hard feelings… just different choices being made quietly.

🇨🇦💙 I’m actually pissed trips to the US aren’t down 80-90% 😡

I attended a wedding in Cleveland, OH. We have some Canadian cousins who live in Niagara Falls Ontario. We are very close to them. It’s a four hour drive. Easy trip. None came. Why? “Too dangerous to go to the US now.” They were missed but we all understood. 😢

I haven't travelled to the US since before T's first go in the White House. And I won't likely be going there again for at least 3 more years. My husband has children in the States and he will likely visit them this year provided we can afford it. Flights may be out of reach!

We seem to watch a lot of the same YouTube content.
