The big 3 will sunset with ICE vehicles, so perhaps we need to focus on large industrial mining trucks, farm, lumber and specialized mining equipment. Even battery tech is illusive here, see Sakuu.com . Tesla was/is leader in vertical integration and the Chinese, Koreans and Japanese acknowledge this, they use them as the benchmark. So I see us developing niche industries, but not autos.
