30 Days of Letters I Thought I’d Never Write
Letters to My Son… If I Had One By Fred Ferguson (GeezerWise)
Dear Son,
Thirty days ago, I hit publish on my first letter.
It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t perfect.
But it was mine.
And now… somehow, there are 45 letters here.
Some were heavy. Some were hopeful.
Some told stories I never thought I’d share.
Some were about money. Some were about pain.
All of them were real.
This started as a whisper to a version of you that lives in my heart.
Now it’s something I can’t imagine keeping to myself.
I’ve learned a few things in 30 days:
📌 You don’t need to be a great writer to say something worth saying.
📌 You don’t need permission to begin.
📌 You just need to keep showing up — one letter at a time.
There were days I didn’t feel ready.
Days I wondered if it mattered.
Days I thought, “Who the hell do I think I am?”
But I kept going.
And somehow, these letters turned into a library.
A Legacy Library — that’s what I’m calling it now.
Not just for you…
But for anyone who ever felt like they were too far gone to start again.
What’s Next?
I’m still writing the letters — more than ever.
But now there are new sections too.
🪙 Money Talk is where I share the financial lessons I learned the hard way.
💻 Side Hustles is coming soon — with practical, ethical ideas that work for regular people like us.
I’ll keep telling stories.
I’ll keep sharing tools.
And I’ll keep building this project in the open — because I want you to see what it looks like to not give up on yourself.
🎥 [COMING SOON: A short video walkthrough of what we’ve built so far]
I'll show you the progress, the posts, and what’s coming next.
If you’ve been reading, even quietly — thank you.
You’ve helped me believe in this.
I never thought I’d write this many words.
I never thought I’d feel this proud.
But here we are.
And I’m just getting started.
With love,
Fred (GeezerWise)
